About this course
Firearms Instructor Development gives certified law enforcement instructors an opportunity to work on how they teach, evaluate students, and maintain their department’s training program.
Instructor candidates study adult learning principles, coaching methods, range safety, performance evaluation, and policy alignment. The goal is instructors who improve shooter performance and can clearly defend their training process in administrative review or post-incident analysis.
Agencies can arrange the course as sustainment training for an existing instructor cadre or as preparation for an in-service program.
What you’ll work on
- Coaching methods and feedback
