About this course
DMEC partners with churches to strengthen their safety posture without compromising their welcoming atmosphere. The approach is ministry-minded, professional, and rooted in the understanding that preparation supports, not replaces, faith.
Consulting includes written threat assessments and guidance on written safety policies, response frameworks, use-of-force considerations, and volunteer accountability. Whether you are starting from the ground up or refining an existing ministry, DMEC helps with team structure, role definition, communication protocols, and policy development.
Training blocks for greeters, ushers, and safety volunteers cover situational awareness and de-escalation, active shooter response principles, scenario-based and tabletop exercises, and hands-on emergency medical instruction including Stop the Bleed and basic trauma care. Grant options are available for houses of worship.
